Chapter 465 - 464: Bella Acker, You Really Are a Heartless Woman
Coming out of the mountains, the phone signal finally returned.
Bella heard the message notification and fished her phone out of her bag to check the messages.
The messages were from Bella, a total of four.
The first two were sent yesterday, close in time. The last two had a longer interval, sent early this morning and this morning.
"Where are you? My brother has a stomach hemorrhage and is hospitalized!"
"The hospital address is xxxxxx, hurry over to see him!"
This was sent yesterday, followed by a message sent this morning.
"Bella, where the hell did you go? My brother is dying, and you don’t even care!"
Next was another message sent this morning.
"Bella, you really are a heartless woman! I misjudged you before!"
Reading these four consecutive messages, Bella’s head buzzed, as if struck by lightning, leaving her dazed.
Archer Quinn noticed her anomaly and asked with concern, "Bella, did something happen?"
Bella looked up at him, a mix of confusion and panic in her eyes, "Damian has a stomach hemorrhage and is hospitalized. Bella messaged me yesterday, but my phone had no signal in the mountains. I just received them now."
"Is it serious?"
Bella shook her head, her eyes turning red.
Archer Quinn held her shoulders, comforting, "Bella, calm down, don’t panic. Mr. Sinclair has definitely been taken to the hospital, it will be fine. If you’re really worried, you can call to check the situation now."
"Okay, I’ll call now." Bella took a deep breath, trying to suppress her panic, clutching her phone as she dialed Bella’s number.
Looking closely, it was evident her hands were trembling slightly.
Archer Quinn lowered his gaze, hiding his own bitterness and loneliness. Damian Sinclair is hospitalized, and she is so worried she is about to cry. If he were hospitalized, would she be this anxious for him as well?
Thinking this, Archer Quinn couldn’t help but scold himself internally for being petty. Since when did he become so narrow-minded, comparing his illness to Damian Sinclair’s? It was really disgraceful.
The call connected, but it rang endlessly without anyone picking up.
Bella clutched the phone, anxiously muttering under her breath, "Pick up the phone, pick up the phone, Bella pick up the phone."
But the phone kept ringing until it automatically hung up, without connecting.
Bella dialed again, still no answer.
How could this be? Why isn’t Bella answering the phone?
Is she really so disappointed in her, thinking she is heartless and unfeeling, that she doesn’t want to answer her calls anymore?
Bella’s heart was anxious, leading to all sorts of wild thoughts.
When people are nervous and anxious, they tend to imagine the worst scenarios, like suddenly hearing about a car accident, instinctively wondering if a family member who happened to go out today was on that car.
It’s a normal reaction when facing a crisis.
No, she must explain clearly.
Bella immediately searched for Damian’s number and dialed it.
The voice from the phone came, Bella urgently spoke, "Damian..."
"Sorry, the number you dialed is turned off, please try again later. The..."
Bella’s words were instantly stuck, Damian’s phone was turned off.
"Bella, don’t panic." Archer Quinn comforted her while instructing the driver, "Sir, we have an urgent situation here, please drive faster."
The driver seemed to want to say that even if he drove faster to the airport, the plane wouldn’t take off anyway.
